Thomas is founder and creative director of The Art of Explaining, a boutique consultancy that since 2008 has been using art and logic to create impactful communications, working across all media but always with great thought and attention to words.
Thomas has a gift for simplifying, and is recognised for his incisive work in brand positioning and tone of voice. Recent projects have included naming and devising statements to define some of the world’s most successful brands. Thomas has shared his method for effective written communication with more than 1,000 people through workshops. He’s a lively and positive facilitator who draws insight from a diverse field of experience — as Cambridge graduate, geography teacher, publisher, entrepreneur, community leader, musical director, expedition leader and educationalist.
